The plans will include demolishing the current Miami Hyatt Regency to make way for three towers, one of which will be a Hyatt hotel offering 615 rooms and 264 serviced apartments. The other two towers will house residential apartments.
Designed by Arquitectonica, the mixed use site will also feature 190,000 square feet of conference space, 20,000 square feet of coworking offices, parking and a 50,000 square feet public park.
This is the third time Hyatt and Gencom have submitted plans for the site. If the plans are approved the current Hyatt Hotel will be knocked down and construction will begin in 2025 with completion slated for 2029.
Hyatt recently opened Hyatt House extended stay offering in Delaware.
