IHM launches ENGAGE corporate travel webinar series

George Sell Uploaded 30 June 2020 UK: International Hospitality Media (IHM) is launching a series of webinars in the run up to the third ENGAGE corporate travel buyer forum.

Hosted by Mark Harris of the Travel Intelligence Network (TIN), the webinars will bring together the very best from across the travel-buying industry and provide a no-cost digital platform for industry leaders to engage, look to the future and challenge the status quo with their peers, through the sharing of knowledge, live debates and Q&As.

Sponsored by Blue Orchid Hotels and The Residences, the webinar series offers a snapshot of what’s to come at the live ENGAGE event, part of the URBAN LIVING FESTIVAL 2020, which is taking place on November 25 and 26 at Tobacco Dock in London.

The sessions will feature travel buyers, TMCs, relocation companies and accommodation providers.

The first session takes place on Thursday July 9th, at 11.00 am BST and is titled Travel buyers v travel sellers – who wins?

Questions asked will include: Will it be a buyers’ or sellers’ business travel market post-COVID? With volumes potentially decimated, will corporates who are willing to invest in travel hold the upper hand?

Joining Harris are Steve Banks, Director of Customer Experience, Capita Travel and Events; Simon Robinson, Head of UK and ROW Facilities, Beazley Group and Blue Orchid Hotels

Other confirmed dates and topics include:
Thursday 23rd July, 11.00 BST: Has video killed the meetings star?
Video conferencing has become the norm, but with lockdown gradually easing, what does the future hold for the meetings sector?

Thursday 6th August, 11.00 BST: Hotels, serviced apartments, co-living / BTR, short term rentals – what’s the best option?
Despite fragmentation in the accommodation market, many travel managers are unaware of the choice of options available, the benefits they offer, or how to source them.

Thursday 20th August, 11.00 BST: Cleaning up our act – corporate sustainability.
Employees have to ‘do the right thing’ during lockdown, so they expect their employers to do the same. Post COVID-19, will corporates re-assess their approach to sustainability and profit-with-purpose within travel and mobility programmes?

“Having hosted numerous events within co-working, co-living, hostels, BTR, hotels and serviced apartment venues over the last few years, attendees are already witnessing the convergence of urban hospitality and real estate first-hand - it makes sense to bring everybody together for this unique experience of doing business.”
