Creative director

Sabrina Voecks, JOI-Design’s creative director, became part of the studio in 2008 following work experiences at Matteo Thun’s Milan studio and GMP Architekten’s practice in Hamburg.Now, she is one of three partners and is further developing the team's expertise in the fields of hospitality, office, health and senior living in addition to growing a branding consultancy aimed at creating design concept storylines and graphic identities. Sabrina has been instrumental in many of JOI-Design‘s most prominent projects, including the Autograph Collection Tegernsee; The Heart, Vilvif senior living residences in Hamburg; the IDX showroom concepts in Hamburg and Munich; the Olympus European Headquarters in Hamburg; Le Méridien Hamburg; Moxy Frankfurt and Munich; PWC Hamburg and Berlin; Mercedes-Benz Living @Fraser Singapore and London; and Sheraton Ismayilli Azerbaijan. At the heart of Sabrina’s creative philosophy is the desire to infuse interior architecture with a sense of humanity: the thoughtful consideration and prioritising of people’s physical and emotional needs so that spaces feel comfortable and restorative.
