Balraj Birdi is a Partner and Eversheds Sutherland’s head of residential investment. Based in London, he specialises in residential property and has extensive experience in estate management structuring, development, investment, sales and finance of mixed-use and residential schemes. Balraj has particular experience in enfranchisement, rights of first refusal and residential tenancies, as well as in high-value residential property transactions, predominantly in the central London area. His wide range of clients include real estate investors, developers, uber high-net-worth individuals, family offices, banks and institutions.
Balraj also leads our Living Regulatory team. He’s exceptionally well versed in the various residential legislation underpinning all living assets, such as building safety, assured shorthold tenancy/short let rights and pre-emption and enfranchisement rights.
