Chief Operating Officer, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)
With a hospitality career beginning at the tender age of 15, Rebecca Hollants Van Loocke has amassed over three decades of professional experience in operations and asset management. Her journey through various senior roles across global hospitality organisations has equipped her with a deep understanding of the industry’s complexities and the importance of sustainable practices.
Rebecca’s early years were spent with InterContinental Hotels and Resorts and Sheraton Hotels from 1981 to 1988. Her career continued with Hyatt International between 1988 and 1999, with tenures in a number of senior positions held across the UK, Paris, Indonesia, and Turkey which helped build a solid background in operations, revenue management, marketing and sales, and general management.
Rebecca then joined Ascott Hospitality in 2007, heading operations in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, and Georgia as Regional General Manager. Her strategic leadership facilitated significant regional expansions. This in addition to time spent as Managing Director of a start-up premium serviced office company between 1999 and 2005.
Since joining Frasers Hospitality in 2017 as Chief Operating Officer for EMEA, Rebecca has played a pivotal role in driving the company’s sustainability agenda. She has been instrumental in integrating BREEAM In-Use certifications into property management processes. Her leadership not only reflects a strong commitment to sustainable practices but also aligns with Frasers Hospitality’s ESG goals to achieve net zero by 2050, maintaining high standards of guest experience while enhancing corporate social responsibility efforts.
Rebecca's broad experience, combined with her strategic foresight in sustainable hospitality, makes her an invaluable asset to Frasers Hospitality as the company continues to pioneer environmental responsibility and community engagement.
